The 8 Windows Wellness Program utilizes meditation as an experiential way of learning about your inner self. Gaining a sense of the nature of all the parts of who you are as a human being, through experiencing the varied energetic vibrations of those parts, can totally transform your concept of self.
When you see yourself differently you begin to treat yourself differently. When you treat yourself differently you come to understand your own intrinsic value.
This understanding allows you to expand into the greatest expression of who you are and makes room in your life for the possibilities of balance, joy and fulfillment.
Our lives are our own creations.
Every decision, every choice, every day we are creating our life as we know it.
Today is a culmination of all the decisions and choices we have made up to this point.
These choices are made within the 8 areas or Windows of our lives listed below. These are the areas of our lives that require our love and attention : I
1.) Spirituality: the first of the areas we explore as we journey through the 8 Windows Wellness Program.
It is the foundation of our work together.
Our very essence is based in spirit. We are energetic beings. While creating a spiritual practice, we are creating a meaningful inner base on which to land when life's challenging events occur, assisting us in navigating those events. That same solid base becomes a supportive springboard from which to jump back into life when we feel ready to take that step.
We continue our journey through the remaining windows:
2.) Relationships: We all have relationships - with family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, schoolmates, etc. but our most important relationship is with the self. How we see, think and feel about ourselves determines how others see, think and feel about us as well. All of our choices are made within this intimate inner personal relationship. Do you nurture this relationship?
3.) Education: This window is about learning for it's own sake and the unlimited value and dimension it brings to our lives. Learning broadens our perspective on both our own lives and the lives of others. It cultivates an openness and expansiveness that leads to more possibilities and opportunities for growth on all levels. Are we honoring our curiosity and our desire to learn more about the topics that interest us simply for the interest and pleasure it brings into our lives?
4.) Career: It's how we spend a third or more of our lives, the means by which we earn our income. We've studied for it, sacrificed for it, and often have paid a hefty financial price for it. It may have begun decades ago. Or yesterday. Is it as fulfilling as we intended or thought it would be? Are we still engaged in our work or has it become a means to an end and is no longer satisfying? Have we grown as a person and our career no longer fits the person we have become? Or- maybe it has been the perfect choice and we want to expand our horizons in this same area but are unsure of how or what steps to take in order to experience even greater satisfaction and enjoyment. Do you have a desire to make changes in this area of your life?
5.) Home Environment: All environments, (from the planet we share, the community we live in, the home we create for ourselves and our families, to our inner environment), shape our sense of safety in the world. What we put into each and every landscape ( and mindscape) is reflected back to us and manifested outwardly in some way. Our choices to act consciously in regard to the health of the planet is of no more or less importance than the choice to act consciously in nurturing the inner environment of our minds, bodies or our homes. We thrive when we pay attention to what we let in. Is home a refuge at the end of the day or does the clutter that greets you at the door zap what's left of your energy? There may be a desire to change these aspects of your environment but you just don't know where to begin.
6.) Physical Activity: Our bodies are our vehicles for navigating the physical world. We must nourish, hydrate, rest, groom and move them in a myriad of incredible ways. These magnificent creations allow us to experience all of our senses, our world, and everything in it. But do we admire and appreciate them for all they enable us to do and for all they do without any help or conscious direction from us? Do we move them in ways that support our health and wellbeing? Do we look at them with love - or with judgement, seeing only the imperfections? Do we see our own inherent beauty?
7.) Diet: We are what we eat! You have heard it a thousand times, read it a thousand more. Every single thing we consume has an immediate effect within your body. It literally creates the new cells of your blood, organs, bones and tissues. What kind of body are you building? We have a love/hate relationship with food. We seem to have forgotten how to feed ourselves. With so much information out there, both truth and myth, it's become a very complex and confusing topic. But it doesn't need to be.
8.) Creativity: Many people feel they aren't creative. Yet we are creating every moment of every day. We may create poetry or pottery, a song or a stew. We create homes, and families, communities and rules. We create our lives as expressions of who we see or feel ourselves to be and we reflect those expressions out into the world, be it through art or avarice, pleasure or pain, clarity or lack of direction. What is your current mode of self-expression? Do you paint, sculpt, cook, write, carve, dance, bead, sing or have a different way of expressing your unique individuality? Are you creating a life filled with experiences that fill and light up your soul? You can you know.
Together we focus on these 8 areas
Each of these 8 areas are like windows into your life.
Some windows may require clearing so you can better see ahead of you.
Some windows may need opening so that you are able let out old ideas and habits and allow new, fresh possibilities to come in.
Every window is connected to every other window. When light is able to enter one window, the others are also illuminated.
All 8 of your windows require your love and attention. When given that love and attention, these areas will blossom into more than you ever imagined.
You will become an inspiration for others as they try to clear their own windows and open themselves up to transformation and renewal.
It is always up to you which window gets attention first ...and how.
You will know transformation has occurred when the views from your windows are finally ones that please and serve you.
We do this work together. yet the path we take is always
up to you.
Change = Courage That first step is often the most challenging.
There's no need to take that first step alone. The support and guidance you desire are only a click away.
